TIPSY TOWER (JENGA)

TIPSY TOWER

There’s so many fun ways to play with this giant sized tower AND it’s so easy to make!

It’s crazy tall!

even when you split it in half!

Either way you want to play, it’s challenging and fun for the whole family or as an awesome drinking game!

What you need:

• Twelve 8 foot 2×4 planks of wood

• Stains and Paint

In total you need 102 pieces.

We used a dark espresso stain for 34 of the pieces, a blue gray paint for 34,

and the rest we left natural. It’s totally up to you what stains or paint colors you’d like to use.

• sandpaper

• paint brushes

• skill saw

• pencil comes in handy!

• ruler

• plastic paint sheets to cover table or surface you’re painting on.

I had a spare piece of wood laying around that I used for the rule board but if you don’t have one/don’t want to buy one you can use a chalkboard or white board!

Step one:

This is the hardest part!

Mark and cut wood planks into 8″ pieces. (you’ll have some wood left over) Oh and I recruited my soon to be hubby!

Step two:

Sand all of your cut pieces very well until smooth.

Step three:

Paint and/or stain pieces.

It’s up to you what you would like to use. If you want three different colors

like ours split into three sections of 34.

Stains will need at least 3-4 coats.

The paint I used only needed one coat

Step four:

After pieces are completely dry lightly sand them so that there’s no sticky parts that could prevent you from sliding them out of place in the tower.

Step five:

Stack!

Check back in tomorrow for the rule board and dice! 😉
