Mozza Filo Pastries

 

Mozzarella Sausage Pastries 

 

These are Delicious!

I love using filo dough because of how simple and light they are.

What you will need:

• 1 roll of organic filo dough. Generally found in the freezer aisle.

• 2 chicken sausages

• 1 package of Mozzarella cheese. The one I used was marinated in spices.

• ⅓ cup of organic unsalted butter

• ½ cup organic egg whites

STEP 1:

Defrost and slowly roll out filo dough.

STEP 2:

Tear strips of filo dough and layer into pre-greased cupcake pan until it forms a cup.

STEP 3:

Melt butter and let cool, then mix with egg whites.

Pre heat oven to 400˚F.

STEP 4:

Lightly baste cups with the butter mixture.

STEP 5:

Bake empty filo dough cups for 10 minutes.

STEP 6:

Slice chicken sausages and add to the pre baked filo cups.

STEP 7:

Slice mozzarella and add to sausage cups.

Step 8:

Bake for 10 minutes, or until mozzarella is melting.

Pull, and let cool.

Step 9:

Place on a cute platter and serve!
